In general, dark rosin provides stronger grip than light rosin, making it easier to produce sound.

However, performance can vary depending on season, temperature, and humidity:

• Dark rosin – stronger grip, typically easier sound response

• Light rosin – may perform better in hot and humid summer conditions, where dark rosin can become overly sticky
